We’re thrilled to announce one of our suppliers, Cavalier Bremworth revealed last Friday they will be transitioning into an all wool and natural fibre company and as a stockist of their carpet we couldn’t be more excited. “Cavalier has always believed that wool is the best fibre for carpet and it is considered a global leader in the design and manufacturer of high quality, beautiful woollen flooring and woollen yarn.” At Cross Carpets, we share the same philosophy and appreciation for wool carpet and we look forward to what the future brings.

Today, the long-term dangers posed by plastics are becoming clear. It’s a global problem and there’s growing awareness that plastic comes in many forms, including synthetic carpet, upholstery, curtains, clothing plus much more.  The impact of plastics on human health is not yet fully understood, but early studies suggest that microplastics entering the body are a potential threat to human health. As a company, we cannot ignore that we are currently contributing to the plastic problem by manufacturing and selling synthetic carpets. While we consider recycling to be a positive step towards repurposing plastic that already exists, stopping it at the source has to be the best solution.
